Active holidays all year round in East Tyrol

While on holiday in East Tyrol you can choose between hikes together through the alpine pastures, pleasant sunbathing and relaxation at one of the many alpine huts in the mountains or testing your limits by climbing or scrambling up the king of mountains – the 3798 metre high Großglockner. On request we also offer guided hikes in the nearby Dolomites.

In summer you can cool down in the hotel’s own outdoor pool, the village’s idyllic “Waldschwimmbad” pool in the forest, or in the nearby Lake Tristach.

Thanks to our proximity to the famous Drau Cycle Path you can also enjoy some easy sporting activity. Cycles are available to hire from us in the hotel.

The wide range of sporting activities available on your holiday in East Tyrol includes some challenging mountain biking routes, rafting, kayaking, canyoning, beach volleyball, tennis, riding, golf, archery and much more.

Flying… The nearby airfield – approx. 3 km from our hotel in Nikolsdorf – is a true delight for pilots.

Archery… strengthens your body, and provides excitement and stress relief and a real sense of achievement. Experience this centuries old sport here with us. In days gone by, archery was a means of survival, today it promotes personal development, family experiences and competitive sport into old age. We even have our own target wall.

In winter, in addition to the link-up to the 60 km long internationally famous cross country trail in the village, you can also go ice skating, curling, tobogganing and skiing in the immediate vicinity. The ski bus stop is just outside the hotel door. The Zettersfeld and Hochstein ski resorts are only around 15 minutes away. You can enjoy a great holiday in East Tyrol in winter too!
